Greetings from the Enlightened Kids Village Team!
We’ve MISSED YOU!
Yes, it’s true, we’ve missed you! Did you know that by developing a daily gratitude practice, you are literally rewiring your brain to think more positively and experience the world through a more positive and peaceful perspective?
When we adopt an attitude of gratitude and start to count the people and the things we are grateful for, our hearts become filled with even more gratitude and thankfulness!
Ernest Holmes reminds us “that through praise and thanksgiving, we recognize the Divine Presence in everything”.
We are sharing a fun ‘Gratitude Stars’ project that you can do with family and friends. So, gather up a few twigs, some string and glue as you create a fun, family keepsake. Have fun, be creative, and keep an eye out for next month’s fun, family activity.
With Great Love, Peace and Blessings
The Enlightened Kids Village Team,
Susan Donovan and Emily Brun
The intention of the Gratitude Star is, when you notice your star at any point throughout your day, you will pause and mentally note someone or something you are grateful for saying:
“Gratitude and Appreciation Light my Path and Show Me the Way!”
Gratitude Star Project:
Step 1: Gather several sticks of similar length, between 5 to 7 inches long.
Step 2: Use a hot glue gun to secure the sticks in a star shape.
Step 3: Wrap the star with your choice of ribbon, jute, string or yarn making sure to ‘criss-cross” occasionally to evenly wrap it.
Step 4: On a small piece of paper, write something you are grateful for and weave your paper into your star.
Alternate Version- Trace and cut out a large star shape from tag board or construction paper. Decorate as desired. Write something you are grateful for on a small piece of paper then tape the paper to your star.
